Twirl and Swirl Placemat

The Twirl and Swirl Placemat pattern is an original pattern by Deb Stoltz.  Over 4000 patterns have been sold internationally.  The pattern is as easy as 1,2,3!  With the simple illustrated pictures and instructions in the pattern, and the technique taught in the class the construction is easy to learn.

The placemat is constructed with “Quilt As You Go” method, using 2″ strips of either two, three, or six coordinating fabrics.  The exciting feature of the twirl and swirl placemat is the center hexagon.  Let your design imagination go wild!  Use a fun contrasting fabric, a design with applique, machine embroidery, fussy cut, or choose your own idea.  The sky is the limit!

The pattern calls for Soft and Stable to be used in the placemat, but 80/20 batting can be substituted.
