The pattern was created upon the “Quilt as you go” method.  The placemat appears to be paper pieced.  Surprise!  The whole placemat is designed and assembled with simple strips of fabric.

You can choose your design with 2, 3, or 6 different fabric.  Contrast the placemat with a different fabric in the center or have some fun and applique a theme!
